What a Black Friday lifetime deal is
A lifetime deal is a one-time payment for lifetime access to a software plan, instead of a monthly or yearly subscription. During the Black Friday season the same marketplaces that sell lifetime deals all year (AppSumo, Earlybird, Prime Club, RocketHub, ProductCanyon and Dealify) run their biggest sale: extra discounts on existing deals, lifetime plans that come back for a few days, bundles and coupon codes on top of the lifetime price.
Vendors call it a lifetime plan, a lifetime subscription or a lifetime license, but the idea is the same: you pay once and keep the plan you bought, with the limits written in the deal (users, credits, projects). What changes during the Black Friday sale is the price and the choice: many SaaS tools only offer a lifetime plan in this season, and memberships such as AppSumo Plus add an extra discount on most deals.
When the Black Friday sale starts and ends
Black Friday falls on the Friday after US Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday closes the weekend three days later. Most marketplaces start their Black Friday sale earlier, often in the week before, and keep it running until Cyber Monday; some extend a few deals into the following week.

How to choose a lifetime deal on Black Friday
A big discount does not make a tool useful. Before buying a lifetime deal during the Black Friday sale, check:
- Do you need it now? A tool that replaces a subscription you already pay is the safest buy; a tool "for later" is often never used.
- The plan limits. Lifetime access covers a defined plan: number of users, monthly credits, projects, storage. Compare them with what you would use.
- The refund window. Marketplaces have different refund rules: AppSumo, for example, refunds most deals within 60 days. Use that time to test the product properly.
- The company and the roadmap. Look at how long the product has existed, how often it is updated and what the founders promise. Our reviews list each product's limitations, not just its features.
- The real saving. Divide the lifetime price by the monthly price of the equivalent subscription: if it pays for itself within a year of use, it is usually a good deal.
