How we review lifetime deals

Lifetime Tools is a directory of lifetime deals on software and online tools. This page explains where the deals come from, how each review is written and what we check before a deal goes online.

Where the deals come from

Every day we read the deal listings of AppSumo, Earlybird, Prime Club, RocketHub, ProductCanyon and Dealify. New deals are added to our queue; deals we already list get their price updated. Deals with a yearly price instead of a one-time payment are left out, because they are not lifetime deals.

How a review is written

For each new deal we read the official deal page on the marketplace. The review is then written with the help of AI, using only the information on that page. It focuses on what the product does, who it is for and its limits; it does not repeat marketing claims we cannot check, and it never mentions prices, which change often.

What we check before publishing

  • the deal page is reachable and describes this product, not the marketplace's shop or a login page;
  • the review names the product, has the expected length and contains no refusals or placeholder text;
  • each deal has an image, a price and one of our 7 categories;
  • deals that fail a check are held back for a manual review instead of being published.

Updates and ended deals

Prices are refreshed every day. When a deal is no longer listed, we check its page; if it has ended, the review stays online with a "Deal ended" label so you can still read about the product.

Affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change which deals we list or what the reviews say.
